Are you Eligible for the NDIS?

There are a lot of resources available on the NDIS website to begin to introduce you to the NDIS Scheme.

Basic overview of the eligibility requirements

  • Under 65 years

  • living in Australia as a citizen, permanent resident, or a protected specials category visa holder

  • Have a disability caused by a permanent impairment.

Once you have determined your eligibility, then you can apply for NDIS funding and become a participant in the NDIS Scheme. Check out the links below for information of applying for the NDIS.

We recognise that families and carers are important in the lives of our clients – and so does the NDIS. The NDIS has provided information about the NDIS for families and carers of people living with a disabilities

Feels Like Home Support Services is dedicated to working with NDIS participants to provide the services they need and want to achieve their goals.

We need to determine if you are eligible for the NDIS. You can do this by looking at the NDIS Access checklist online or calling the NDIA on 1800 800 110.

There are a number of factors which determine whether you are eligible for support under the NDIS

You may be eligible to receive an individual support plan if you;

  • Are you under the age of 65 years old, if your child is under 7 or you or loved one is over 65years, find further details on the NDIS website 

  • are an Australia citizen, a permanent resident, or New Zealand citizen who is a Protected Special Category Visa holder

  • do you live in Australia

  • have a permanent and/or significant disability that impacts your everyday living and you require assistance from others to do things

  • use equipment or assistive technology

  • Do you need some supports no to reduce your future need for support and need support for your family to build skills to help support you?​

If you are not currently receiving disability services you may still be eligible for the NDIS. You will need to contact the NDIS directly to complete an access request form. You do not need a referral. Visit www.ndis.gov.au or call 1800 800 110
